Are You Old Or Do You Just Look Like It?

Are You Old Or Do You Just Look Like It?

ARE YOU OLD OR DO YOU JUST LOOK LIKE IT?

If you’re eating right yet still look older than you should, what’s your stress level?  Job, spouse, kids, work, dieting, not sticking to a diet, not enough exercise, money worries……?  The list is almost endless.

Stress and worry, along with depression, could be aging your body on a cellular level. Shortened telomeres are associated with a number of age-related diseases.

About 11 years ago, in 2004, scientists started to study telomeres.  Telomeres are the tips of strands of DNA, think of them like the tips on the end of a shoelace. Just like a shoelace, telomeres stop your DNA from fraying. When DNA frays, the cells shorten and stop being as healthy.  When we talk about a skin cell, it will cease to function properly and will appear aged. If the DNA frays in a brain cell, memory will lapse.

The chromosomes in our cells are protected by these tips. As our cells divide over time, because of damage, the telomeres get shorter and become an accurate marker of biological aging that shows up in our outward appearance, as well as internally.

The body is a remarkable thing. The erosion of telomeres can not only be halted by reducing stress, they can be stimulated to grow again, actually reversing the effects of aging.  Additionally, there are products that can help the repair process.  These supplements and skin care products targeting telomere support can result in powerful healthy-aging benefits such as youthful vitality and energy, vital organ support, healthy immune system support, and more.  If you have questions about products, I can offer my personal recommendations. In the end, it all comes down to a choice; who do you want to be and what do you want to do with your life. You, and I, must make conscious choices in life; choices about what you want and what you don’t, choices about what is acceptable and what isn’t.  Choices about who you are and what you stand for.

Sometimes, it’s hard to even know where to begin. It’s often said that STARTING IS THE  HARDEST PART.  The good news about that is:  once you start, the hardest part is over!  Moving forward, even in small steps, builds momentum. It’s like a snowball rolling down a hill, it may start out small, as it goes along it picks up speed, power and mass. That’s how avalanches are born!

I’ld love to send you a free workbook to print out and get you started.  I definitely recommend you print it out and complete it by hand.  Just thinking about how to resolve something can end up making you feel more stressed because your thoughts go around in circles. Typing on a keyboard also lacks the tactile benefits of handwriting. When we write, a unique neural circuit is automatically activated that will help you to process emotions, see the problem in a different light, and work your way towards a solution more easily & effectively.
